Executive Assistant
River Legacy Foundation is searching for a candidate for the position of Executive Assistant. This full-time position will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support specifically to the Executive Director and in general to Fund Development and Marketing staff. In addition, the Executive Assistant will provide human resources support by managing employee benefits, new employee orientation, and other personnel issues and act as database administrator for the donor/program participant records.

An Associate's degree in Business, Office Management, Accounting or Database is required. Must have at least 4-5 years administrative or executive assistant experience and preferably at least 2-3 years database management experience. Must possess good organizational skills, interpersonal skills and strong communications skills (both verbal and written). Must be computer literate, proficient in MS Office applications and be familiar with the Mac OS X operating system. Skills in Adobe Creative Suite are preferred. Must be capable of discretion and confidentiality; capable of interacting effectively with a variety of people including staff members, board members, sponsors, donors and the general public; resourceful and possess problem-solving skills. Flexibility, ability to manage multiple priorities, and ability to act independently are also required.

Nature School Teacher
River Legacy Foundation seeks a preschool teacher in our NAEYC accredited Nature School for 3- and 4-year-old children. Classes meet Monday through Friday, 9-11:30 am and 12:30-3 pm September 8, 2008 through May 8, 2009, with a Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Holiday Break and Spring Break. The Nature School Teacher is responsible for creating developmentally appropriate learning environments that provide inquiry-based explorations of nature. The Teacher will utilize art, music, literature, and socio-dramatic play as vehicles through which children can deepen their conceptual understanding of the plant and animal life of River Legacy Parks. The successful candidate will have a BA degree (or higher) with an Elementary Certification and/or Early Childhood Endorsement, as well as preschool level teaching experience. Director of Fund Development
River Legacy Foundation (RLF) is searching for a Director of Fund Development. This full-time position is responsible for the management, facilitation and coordination of all RLF fundraising activities, including grants, major gifts, special events and the annual giving campaign. The Fund Development Director will work closely with the Executive Director to increase the financial resources available to River Legacy Foundation.

In addition to an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year university or college, a minimum of five years of development experience is required, including experience with all components of an Annual Giving Campaign, major gift solicitation, special events and grant writing. Candidates must have the presence and demeanor to interface with RLF Board Members, prospective donors, and prominent individuals in the philanthropic community. This position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; the ability to multi-task; computer literacy; strong organization skills and resourcefulness. A positive, engaging personality is required, as is the ability to motivate and direct volunteers.

The Director of Fund Development works Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, though work days and times may occasionally vary. Some holiday and evening work is required.
