Parent's Night Out
Children ages 5 to 10 can join River Legacy staff for a summertime pajama party! Participants will enjoy pizza and snacks while exploring how animals and humans stay cool and have fun in the summer heat! The evening will include games, animal explorations, fun science experiments and will end with the movie Lilo & Stitch (PG). Feel free to wear your favorite PJs. Children can be dropped off at 5:30 pm and must be picked up by 9:30 pm. Registration is available online or call 817.860.6752, ext. 102 or 104 to make registration and payment. River Legacy Nature Day and Bookfair at Barnes & Noble
Join River Legacy Living Science Center for a Nature Adventure at Barnes & Noble Arlington at The Parks Mall, 3881 S. Cooper Street. All ages and families welcome to participate in this annual event which includes story time, and a visit with some lively creatures. A portion of your purchases at Barnes & Noble on June 7 will benefit River Legacy Foundation's environmental education programs. Just let the cashier know that you would like to support River Legacy.

This year's event will be held at Ellis County Sportsmans Club in Waxahachie and will include a morning shoot at 8 am; an afternoon shoot at 1 pm and a common lunch at noon. The City of Arlington Master Composter volunteers hold composting classes the second Saturday of every month at the composting display in the Science Center's parking lot area. The class includes demonstrations of proper pile building, and a worm compost bin. Attendees will receive a free book. No need to register, just show up. Dress for the weather. Beginner's Adult Yoga Series
Beginner's yoga classes with a forest view. Each class will begin promptly at 10 am and will last one hour. Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and come dressed in comfortable workout attire. Led by certified yoga instructor, Becky Pena. Best suited for ages 16 and up.
